#72 Kip Kinkel, Part 2

This is the second half of our 2-parter on Kip Kinkel. We recommend that you go back to episode #71 and listen to that before starting this one.

Before Columbine and Sandy Hook, there was Kip Kinkel--the moody, dark, gun-obsessed, trench-coat-wearing poster child for school shootings. That image of Kip has remained frozen in time: the dangerous child people point to as the reason some kids need to be locked up for life. Last episode, we discussed Kip’s childhood, his family, and the first part of his killing spree.

In Part 2, we discuss the rest of his spree and the aftermath of those few murderous days. We heavily borrow from Jennifer Schulberg’s amazing Huffington Post article: “Kip Kinkel Is Ready To Speak” for this episode.
