#66: Kathleen Folbigg, the Baby Killer?
Friday Apr 30, 2021
Friday Apr 30, 2021
We are finally back after our month-long hiatus dealing with family stuff. We are pleased to announce that our baby Abigail is born and one month old now! Also, Amy’s dad is back home and on the mend after being in the hospital for a month, and our sweet dog Freki completed radiation for cancer recently. So, we definitely felt like we needed to put the podcast on the back-burner for a bit while we dealt with things, but we are back with a crazy one that’s been in the news recently again.
So for this week, we say Happy birthday to Abigail, our daughter, and dedicate this episode to her. Also, Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there. We celebrate these special days and our comeback with a doozy.
Imagine this: You give birth to 4 children and each, one by one, mysteriously die over a period of 10 years. Heart-breaking? Yes. Sketchy? Also yes. Today, we explore the curious case of Kathleen Folbigg, either a cold-blooded baby killer or the unluckiest woman on earth.

#65: The Mysterious Death of Kendrick Johnson--REOPENED
Thursday Mar 18, 2021
Thursday Mar 18, 2021
This is a mysterious one that was big in the news when it happened, and since, has been a tragic head-scratcher for arm-chair detectives, YouTubers, and Redditors. Kendrick Johnson (aka KJ), 17, was found dead in a mat at Lowndes High School in 2013. The circumstances of his death have been a source of conjecture, gossip, allegations, and lawsuits ever since. The Justice Department closed the case in June 2016, saying it could not meet the high legal threshold needed to file federal criminal charges. It would have needed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that someone had killed Johnson and was motivated by racial animus to do so.
For years, KJ’s family and many others demanded that the case be reopened; there were just too many unanswered questions, too many inconsistencies and coincidences for it to be just a simple accident. Just recently, on March 10th, 2021, The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office reopened this case.

#62: Chris Benoit & the Dark Side of Wrestling w/ Guest Host Mason
Monday Feb 22, 2021
Monday Feb 22, 2021
Some say professional wrestling is fake--just a bunch of ‘roided out maniacs in tights acting out a play. They’re not totally wrong. While professional wrestling is scripted with story lines and predetermined winners and losers, the level of athleticism and commitment to the art is very real. Also, very real are the injuries sustained and the cumulative effects of years of head trauma, and concussions, which is the same with professional football players and boxers. These head injuries can lead to dangerous personality disorders and violence. Chris Benoit is a prime example of this. Join Kevin, Amy, and our good friend Mason, as we dish out the trash.

#60: The Tragic Murder of Vera Jo Reigle
Saturday Feb 06, 2021
Saturday Feb 06, 2021
300 Center Street in Findlay, Ohio was a house of horrors. Many people were in and out of there, but no tenant was as innocent or tragic as Vera Jo Reigle. Cheri Brooks, AKA Sugar Babe, was the ring-leader of the “Brooks Clan,” a trashy “Crip” family of misfits who wreaked havoc in this small town. Referred to as “Frequent Fliers” by 9-11 and the local police, it seems that many of the Brooks’ tragedies and maladies could have been avoided. Kevin and Amy watched the documentary Goodnight Sugar Babe so that you maybe don’t have to. It’s a sad, gross, heart-breaking story.
